PCB3063 - genetics (Dr. Miyamoto's class): Citation managers

Citation managers

Here are several citation managers that helps you organize your literature references.  These also feature cite while you write plugins for Microsoft Word, which gives you the ability to insert your references while writing.  Citation managers could be useful as you are collecting literature for your class project and they will be useful beyond your undergraduate years.

Available citation managers include:

EndNote:  EndNote has a desktop version that requires installation.  We also have free access to EndNote Web (the online version).

RefWorks is a web-based citation manager so not software installation is required.  This available and free at UF.  For more information and tutorials on using RefWorks please visit (http://web.uflib.ufl.edu/refworksufpage.html).

Mendeley is the one that I use.  It is free and can the desktop app can be downloaded at https://www.mendeley.com/.  If you need help with Mendeley, feel free to get in touch with me.
