Finding Preprint Articles

Preprints can provide some of the latest information on a topic. However, they are preliminary reports of work that have not yet been peer reviewed.

These reports can serve as a valuable source of information. Here are some key places to look for technical reports:

International Atomic Energy Agency Publications Search 
Search more than 9,000 scientific and technical publications include international safety standards, technical guides, conference proceedings and scientific reports focusing on nuclear power, radiation therapy, nuclear safety and security, and nuclear law, among others. Many PDFs are available for free download.

Full-text access to NASA Scientific and Technical Information (STI).

Helps you locate historical and current government technical reports.

Is it peer reviewed?

To find out if a journal is peer reviewed or refereed use the Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory.  Search by journal title, ISSN, etc. and look for the tiny referee shirt as an indicator.
