Question: What library statistics are included in these pages?

Answer: Found on these 'warehouse' pages are the more traditional stats associated with a large research library, but also other types of statistics gathered annually such as reference interviews, gate counts, instructional classes, etc., as well as library expenditures for operations and materials/online resources.

Question: How are the statistics organized and how do I find what I'm looking for?

Answer:  The statistics pages are designed to make navigation simple. Pages have been developed that compile and summarize the statistics in several ways and are accessible from six main Tabs:

(1) "Survey Info" = all library statistics; (2) "Monographs & E-Books" = both numeric and financial statistics for all things mono; (3) "Print Serials" = title counts and expenditures for print serials received in the libraries; (4) "E-Resources" = statistics found here range from the number of e-journals and databases to budget expenditures for e-resources acquired by the Smathers Libraries; (5) "Other" = assorted statistics that include linear feet of archives and gate counts; (6) and "Branches" = statistics (e.g. volumes held) for each Branch Library - the branches consist of the Marston Science Library, Library West, Education Library, Architecture & Fine Arts Library. Also included are library statistics for the libraries' large 'collections' such as the Latin American Collection or Judaica Collection.

Question: What if I can't find the statistics or financial figures I need?

Answer: Contact us! Sometimes we get requests for stats that aren't already generated or found on these pages so we'll do what we can to harvest the stats via reports and spreadsheets to accommodate your request.
