Captions for Foreign Months
The Field 853 contains subfields that correspond to subfields in the 853X and/or 863. These caption labels are not used in PrimoVE or to generate the description field in Alma, but hopefully Ex Libris will rectify this in a future upgrade. They are used in OCLC for ILL purposes, and for Alma predictive patterns, so they should still be used.
In this future Alma, the caption (month) will display a given value dependent upon the corresponding variable in the 863. Thus a value of 05, given that the language code is eng, will result in a display value of May.
