To request copies of an article or book chapter NOT available through the UF library catalog or the UF Libraries' UBorrow link in the catalog (UBorrow's for PRINT books only):
1. Go to ILLiad and log in with your UF ID# and ILLiad password OR register (usually takes less than 2 minutes.)
2. In the left sidebar, under New Request, select the appropriate format (article, book, etc.)
2. Complete the resulting form.
a. Use an .ufl.edu email address to ensure delivery and no charge.
b. The PubMed ID (PMID) is the last piece of data in a PubMed record. Your supplying this # increases the chances of the request-filling library sending the right article.
c. Click Submit button at the bottom of the page.
To identify libraries near you that might carry the print issue of a journal that you need, you have two options:
A. If you're in the PubMed database, click on LINKS at the extreme right of a result, then on Link Out, then on LIBRARIES. You may then be given an alphabetic list by name of library.
B. You can search for your nearest public library and nearest academic library. to see if they have a copy or would request it for you by their interlibrary loan service.
