This guide is a list of software primarily for scientific applications. Included are a variety of programs that are not discipline-specific (i.e. image analysis and office suites), as well as others for specific subjects (biology, chemistry, etc.). A link to media creation programs on the "Finding Media for Educational Purposes" LibGuide is also included that has links to other open source multimedia programs.
