W.A.R.P. - Workshop for Art Research and Practice: iPads for Loan

Architecture & Fine Arts (AFA) Library has eight (8) iPad4s available for checkout at the Service Desk.

• iPads may be checked out for a period of seven days.
• Request an iPad at the AFA Library Service Desk; iPads are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• iPads loans may not be renewed, and you must wait 24 hours after returning an iPad, to check out one again.

AFA Library iPads are pre-configured with a set of apps selected by UF Student Government and UF Librarians. These apps were selected to help you in writing papers, conducting research and other classroom activities.  

Load Your Own Apps:
You may also download and use your own apps, pictures, music, videos and other content on a library iPad, while you have it checked out. Please save your work before you return the iPad to the library, as it will be wiped clean and restored to the state it was in when you checked it out. 

iOS Pre-Loaded/Default Apps:
App Store, Calendar, Contacts, iTunes, Mail, Maps, Notes, Photos, Photobooth, Safari, Videos, and Clock.

These iPads were purchased with funds from the UF Student Technology Fee so they're restricted to use by students currently enrolled at the University of Florida.

Login to Your Personal iTunes Account
Sign into your own iTunes account and install and use your favorite apps, docs, and media on the AFA Library iPads. If you don't have an iTunes account or AppleID, you can learn how to create one here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2731

SAVE YOUR WORK!
Upon return to the AFA Library Service Desk, all iPads will be swept clean of any documents, apps, pictures, or other things that you have added. Please remember to save any work, photos, and/or videos to your computer before returning the iPad.

• Fines for the iPad and accessories are $10.00 per hour, up to a maximum of $100.00 at which time the item is considered lost.

• Per Library policy, you agree to assume full financial responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft for any iPad and accompanying accessories checked out to you, during the time that it is checked out to you.

• There is a $1,000.00 replacement charge for iPads damaged or considered lost.  There is a $50.00 replacement charge for accessories (lost cables, charger, brochure, or case).
  
  
• Library privileges will be blocked if the iPad is not returned on time.  Once an iPad is overdue for 10 hours, it will be locked down so that it cannot be used.
