Printers: We use FFF (fused filament fabrication), also called FDM (fused deposition modeling). Marston Science Library has one (1) Ultimaker 3 Extended, eight (8) Lulzbot Taz6, and four (4) Lulbot Taz Workhorse 3D printers. The Architecture & Fine Arts, Education, and Health Science Center Library each have (1) Lulzbot Taz 6 3D Printer.
Filament: MatterHackers 3mm Build Series PLA (polylactic acid) is the only type of plastic used in UF Libs 3D Prototyping Labs. We stock our PLA in a variety of colors.
Note: If we do not have the type of printers or print material you need, check out our recommendations for alternative 3D printing locations on the right-hand side of this page.
We are not accepting L136 room reservations for the Fall semester. Marston will have limited capacity and our meeting spaces will be unavailable for any meetings in the Fall. We apologize for the inconvenience.
