Library 3D Printing Hours:
Monday - Friday: 9AM - 5PM
(Pick-up prints anytime during the regular library hours of your print location)
Printers: We use FFF (fused filament fabrication), also called FDM (fused deposition modeling). Marston Science Library has one (1) Ultimaker 3 Extended, eight (8) Lulzbot Taz6, and four (4) Lulbot Taz Workhorse 3D printers. The Architecture & Fine Arts, Education, and Health Science Center Library each have (1) Lulzbot Taz 6 3D Printer.
3D Scanners: We have NextEngine and Structure 3D scanners.
NextEngine resources: 1) Basic NextEngine Scanning, 2)Scanning with the MultiDrive, 3) Make fully editable CAD models
Structure resources: 1) Getting Started, 2) Calibration App Tutorial, 3) Robert Bomboy Tutorial
Filament: MatterHackers 3mm Build Series PLA (polylactic acid) is the only type of plastic used in UF Libs 3D Prototyping Labs. We stock our PLA in a variety of colors.

Hubs: A network of 3D printers offering varying materials and services. Includes a comprehensive 3D printing guide.
Shapeways: Will print and ship your model for a fee.
i.materialise: Prints in several precious metals and ceramics, with >90 combos of materials and finishes.
Sculpted: Offers >48 combos of materials and finishings.
Do you need to print in metal, resin, or another material?
Check out the Fab Lab, located in Infinity Residential Hall. The Fab Lab has the Form 2, Metal X, and a variety of other printers and materials that can handle these requests.
Are you an engineering student?
The MAE Rapid Prototyping Facility in 313 MAE-B has a wider range of printers and is open to qualified users.
