Library Information for Oak Hammock Residents: Technical Information

Here's where you can find helpful visual guides to begin to use the Library's electronic resources. .

VPN Client and Duo Factor Authentication Instructions

Because of our contracts with  the database/information providers, all users of these resources  must be connected to the UF VPN client when using an off-campus network. The VPN client authenticates you as a legitimate UF user, and enables you to view materials from any non-UF network. The University of Florida has also instituted Duo-factor authentication when logging in to UF networks and resources. We have prepared how-to guides to downloading, installing and using the VPN client for Macintosh and Windows users, and you can download those files from the links below. There is also a guide to installing and using Duo authentication. In the near future, files for this process for IPad and Android devices will be available.  If you have a laptop or other device, and want assistance in setting it up, feel free to bring it with you on the last Friday afternoon of the month, when I am in-house at Oak Hammock
