UF Librarians have worked to document the life of farmworkers, who are mainly immigrants from Latin America and the Caribbean, through special projects, such as the Planning Collaborative Practices for Archiving Farmworkers' Histories and Documenting History: Farmworkers in Florida during Covid 19.
The result of the latter is the COVID-19 Florida Farmworkers Collection, which includes includes digital content captured from January 2020 to January 2022.
The former will result in an archive of oral histories done with community-based organizations that work with farmworkers. We are still working on organizing and providing access to the archive. In the meantime, you can read the following publications on the project:
