Key databases and links for conducting research in Interior Design

Use the following links to access images for teaching, research, and studying. Whenever you use one of these resources, make sure you understand any restrictions of use placed upon the image(s) by the site.

Open Access Image Databases:

If you decide to do a web search for an image ("Google it"), verify that the image is what it says it is. You also want to identify the copyright holder for the image, which may not actually belong to the website on which you found it. Also consider the context of the image within the website. Remember to evaluate images with the same standard you would an article or book!

Interior Design Journals and Magazines

The Architecture and Fine Arts Library subscribes to a variety of print magazines and journals like Wallpaper, Dwell, and Interior Design among others. Many of these can be found in our current periodical display.
