What is AI?

AI is...

"the ability of machines to perform tasks that would normally require human intelligence." - Andrew Ng, "AI for Everyone"

AI vs. Machine learning vs. Deep learning vs. Generative AI

AI and machine learning are closely related but have important differences. Machine learning is a subset of AI that enables a machine to learn and adapt without following explicit instructions by using algorithms and statistical models to analyze and draw inferences from patterns in data. AI encompasses machine learning and other computational techniques.
