To find out if a journal is peer reviewed or refereed use the Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory. Search by journal title, ISSN, etc. and look for the tiny referee shirt as an indicator.

Preprints

Preprints can provide some of the latest information on a topic. However, they are preliminary reports of work that have not yet been peer reviewed.

IEEE Xplore
Provides indexing and full-text access to IEEE and IEE transactions, journals, magazines and conference proceedings published since 1988 and all current IEEE standards. Access to the full text is restricted to current UF students/staff/faculty.

Includes the Natural Science Collection and Technology Collection databases and provides full-text titles from around the world, including scholarly journals, trade and industry journals, magazines, technical reports, conference proceedings, government publications and more.
