HSCL Accessible Parking Guide

The Health Science Center Library is located on the 1st floor of the Communicore Building.

The UF Health patient/visitor garages and their locations are:

• Garage 10, located north of Archer Road at Newell Drive, serves the east side of the complex.
• Garage 2, located north of Archer Road at Center Drive, with access from Mowry Road, serves the west side of the complex.
• Garage 3, located north of Archer Road between Center Drive and Gale Lemerand Drive, serves the west side of the complex and the Medical Plaza.

Parking for patients is free, but visitor parking costs $20. Additional information on parking at UF Health.

The University of Florida requires both a state of Florida Disabled Persons Parking Permit and a UF Disabled Persons Parking Permit to park on campus. For visitors, please see https://taps.ufl.edu/visitors/disabled-visitors/. 

From I-75

1. SR-24 exit 384 to Gainesville/Archer
2. East on Archer Road for approximately three miles.
3. For West Visitor’s Parking Garage – Left onto Center Drive. Left at stop sign (parking garage immediately on Left)
4. For East Visitor’s Parking Garage – Left at Newell Drive/Circle of Hope Traffic Light (parking garage immediately on Right)

From South or North 441 (13th Street)

1. West on SR-24 (Archer Road)
2. For East Visitor’s Parking Garage – Right at first traffic light, Newell Drive/Circle of Hope  (parking garage immediately on Right)
3. For West Visitor’s Parking Garage – Right at third traffic light, Center Drive. Left at stop sign (parking garage immediately on Left)

From 301 North

1. Right onto FL-24 (Waldo Rd.)
2. Right on FL-26 (East University Avenue)
3. Left on SW 13 Street (HWY 441)
4. Veer Right onto Archer Road
5. For East Visitor’s Parking Garage – Right at first traffic light, Newell Drive/Circle of Hope  (parking garage immediately on Right)
6. For West Visitor’s Parking Garage – Right at third traffic light, Center Drive. Left at stop sign (parking garage immediately on Left)

From SR 26 (University Avenue/Newberry Road)

1. South on SW 13 Street (HWY 441)
2. Veer Right onto Archer Road
3. For East Visitor’s Parking Garage – Right at first traffic light, Newell Drive/Circle of Hope  (parking garage immediately on Right)
4. For West Visitor’s Parking Garage – Right at third traffic light, Center Drive. Left at stop sign (parking garage immediately on Left)

The red circles on the map are curb cuts for persons using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

There are 4 spots available on the top floor of the garage, with a shuttle that picks up from this upper level.

There are 6 spaces available on Floor 1 and 6 on Floor 2: 2 spots against the West facing wall and 4 spots against the North facing wall.

Surface lot at the corner of Center Drive and Archer Road: all four rows of parking are accessible only, with 45 spaces.

Shands hospital has a valet option at the main hospital entrance on Archer Road.
