Description of the UF Library HiPerGator Sponsorship Program

Program Description

The Library HiPerGator Sponsorship Program is a collaboration between the George A. Smathers Libraries and UF Information Technology Research Computing to provide students with unfunded research projects access to UF’s world-renowned high performance computer, HiPerGatorStudents accepted in the program are paired with a faculty member from the Academic Research Consulting and Services (ARCS) Department to advise them on their project and in the use of HiPerGator.

Program Requirements

In order to qualify for the Program:

  • You must be a registered UF student
  • You need a defined research project
  • You need a research advisor/mentor/PI

*Acceptance into the program also depends on availability of HiPerGator resources.

Acceptance to the Program

Once your application has been reviewed you will receive an email from the Sponsorship Team with instructions on how to access HiPerGator.

You'll be assigned an ARCS advisor to support you through your project. They will meet with you at the beginning, end, and at regular intervals throughout your participation in the Program.
