Published Finding Aids and Handlists

The Parkman Dexter Howe Library

The Howe Library was acquired in 1980 and contains over 4,000 volumes by authors from New England, ranging from the colonial period to the middle of the twentieth century. An eleven-volume catalogue of the collection (arranged by author) was printed following its arrival, and a digital copy is also available via the University of Florida Digital Collections.

French Revolutionary Pamphlet Collection

In 1957, the History Department acquired a collection of nearly 3,000 pamphlets printed in the years surrounding the French Revolution, including a number of pamphlets related to the French Caribbean. A partial handlist was issued in 1971, but the introduction notes that it does not offer a complete view of the collection, as individual pamphlets had already been catalogued separately.
