Finding Evidence Sources

Evidence Sources are original works that can be interpreted or analyzed. Evidence sources can take many forms including texts such as novels, or poems; historical documents such as journals; and mediums of performance including live or recorded dance. Evidence sources are also often called primary sources.

Broad-ranging materials include video of live performances, audio recordings, instructional films, previously unpublished works from acclaimed playwrights, performance posters and playbills, video interviews, and choreography not seen since the time of its original performance.

Provides online access to a digital streaming video collection of unique films of current, leading British theatre productions. Includes behind-the-scenes documentaries as well as teaching and learning resources to facilitate a deeper understanding of the productions and texts. Learning resources include a detailed introduction, plot summary, character biographies, a relationship map, language analysis, scene study, performance background and historical context for each play. Updates vary.
