The following is a list of subject-specific databases which index and often provide full-text access to journal articles for museum studies research.

Art & Architecture Source
Covers fine, decorative, and commercial art, and some areas of architecture and architectural design. Over 600 full-text journals, more than 220 full-text books, and a collection of 63,0000+ images.
Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals
Indexes over 2,800 periodicals published worldwide on architecture, archaeology, city planning, interior design, and historic preservation. Coverage from 1930s-present (with selective coverage dating back to the 1860s).

eHRAF Archaeology
Yale's Human Relations Area Files Archaeology is a cross-cultural database containing information on the world's prehistory.
eHRAF World Cultures
Yale's Human Relations Area Files World Cultures is a cross-cultural database containing information on all aspects of cultural and social life.
Index to 19th Century American Art Periodicals
The only online index to 42 art periodicals published in the U.S. during the 1800s. Entire journal contents are indexed — including illustrations and advertisements.
JSTOR
Scholarly journal archive, going back to the first issue for many titles, covering Classical studies, area studies, anthropology, architecture, archaeology and art history.
