The George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida fully supports Oak Hammock and its residents as they pursue the stated goal of lifelong learning. The library offers a variety of services to Oak Hammock residents; some of these services include library privileges, interlibrary loan services, off-campus access to electronic resources offered by the Library, and reference services. As a representative of the libraries, I am available for assistance by email or telephone. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am not currently able to visit Oak Hammock in person, but I remain committed to providing library services to the residents of Oak Hammock, and look forward to hearing from you.
This library guide is designed to give Oak Hammock residents a resource to refer to for basic library information, and is divided into the following sections:
Getting Started: this is where residents can find basic information on how to set up their library accounts, set passwords, and information on account assistance .
Quick and Easy Guides: This page offers files on the quickest way to get started using some of the library's resources. I will be adding to this page regularly; please contact me if there are any suggestions for future quickstart guides.
Technical information: In this section are links to PDF files on how to set up the UF VPN client on various devices. The VPN client is software that must be used when using the e-resources offered by the library.
Miscellaneous Links: this is a page where I will be linking to freely-available resources that may be of interest to Oak Hammock residents.
If you have any questions related to library resources or services, please contact me- I look forward to hearing from you.
