Accuracy and Quality of Content
If you are an expert in the topic covered in your instructional video, you do not necessarily need other people to judge the accuracy and quality of the materials presented. However, if you are unfamiliar with the topic covered, seek help from people with the necessary content knowledge (subject matter experts). Their assessment of your content (validation process) will ensure a high-quality product. Remember to give them credit for their help with the final product (e.g., video, learning module).
Even if you are an expert, asking colleagues to take a look at your content (e.g., scripts) is recommended to ensure the accuracy of the content and clarity of the presentation. If you have time, it is also helpful to conduct formative assessment (even informally) of the content with learners from your targeted audience to get additional feedback before taking the time to create the videos.
