    Virtual Private Network Software

You can access everything to which you're entitled as a UF faculty/student/staff member by downloading the VPN (Virtual Private Network) onto your computer. This is not recommended for shared computers.

Go to http://net-services.ufl.edu/~ns/provided_services/vpn/vpn-install.html and follow the instructions for your computer's operating system.

    Links from Databases

When viewing results of a search in a library (bibliographic) database, you may see buttons or icons that link to the library's subscriptions and possible full text. Here are some of those icons:

In PubMed with Display pull-down set to Abstract, the blue rectangle reading "UF HSC Libraries Gainesville In Print" tells you that we have it in its print version on the shelves in our campus libraries.

In PubMed and other databases, clicking the blue lozenge re ading "Find it @UF" will try to connect you to the issue of the journal in our library's catalog.
