The Gainesville Radon Map, developed by the Alachua County Office of Environmental Protection “in order to assist citizens in identifying areas of urban Gainesville that have homes with extremely high radon concentrations.”

Other local cartographic resources

In addition to the collections featured here, the UF Map & Imagery Library holds a number of other local cartographic resources, including but not limited to: road maps, general highway maps, land use and city planning maps, trail maps, historic architecture tour guides, voting precinct maps, cadastral surveys, vegetation maps, soil surveys, geologic maps, and flood maps.

You can find maps, atlases, and other cartographic resources in the library catalog. You can construct a search by following the steps below:

  1. Begin an advanced search of the UF Library Catalog
  2. Enter a search term
  3. Limit the material type to maps (or skip this step, if you'd like to see results for atlases and other books)
  4. Limit your search to only materials held by the Map & Imagery Library
  5. Browse the results
  6. Select a record of interest
  7. Save the record’s permalink or write down the call number
  8. Visit the Map & Imagery Library during our open hours, and a staff member can help you locate the materials
