College of Medicine

Medical Student Wellness - A wellness initiative in the College of Medicine that understands that student wellness is an important part of the educational experience. It offers a variety of support efforts including monthly wellness screenings; a longitudinal wellness curriculum; peer/faculty support; monthly student advocacy meetings facilitated by the Assistant Dean for Medical Education; a tutoring service; public speaking development; and much more. Some of their more unique offerings are:

College of Pharmacy

Health & Wellness - In addition to the healthcare insurance support offered by UF students have access to the Counseling and Wellness Center for services such as individual counseling, crisis and emergency assistance, personality testing, psychiatry support, and other wellness services. Students based in Jacksonville and Orlando also have access to these services including a telehealth option which is a convenient option. Students on the Jacksonville campus also have access to the UF Health Employee Wellness Program which offers weekly wellness webinars, nutrition counseling, health coaching, a massage clinic, and other services.

College of Dentistry

Student Health and Wellness - Students in the College of Dentistry have access to the Counseling and Wellness Center as well as resources for exercise & physical activity and mindfulness & meditation. The exercise & physical activity offerings that are free of charge include wellness activities through GatorCare; live and recorded fitness classes; recreational sports drop-ins; intramural sports leagues; and group fitness classes. The mindfulness & meditation offerings are free of charge including counseling and wellness center workshops; regularly scheduled meditation sessions; guided breathing practices; and more. Students in Jacksonville also have access to the Counseling and Wellness Center which includes convenient telehealth options as well as access to the UF Health Employee Wellness Program which offers weekly wellness webinars, nutrition counseling, health coaching, a massage clinic, and other services.

UF Wellness

 UF Counseling & Wellness Center - A center in the Division of Student Life that understands that a student's time in college is one of change and growth with accompanying stresses. To help students overcome these stresses they provide various services that include individual and group counseling sessions; couples/relationship counseling; crisis support; and other psychiatric services. Their website offers an extensive list based on numerous themes related to wellness concepts some of which include Kognito online training simulation courses. UF Health Jax - Employee/Student Wellness (requires Bridge login)
UF students in the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy are eligible for wellness support at the UF Health Jax campus location, specifically the ChaMP (Center for Healthy Minds and Practice) program. The program offers services for individuals and groups. For individuals they offer unlimited psychological support in all the phases of the student's life, solution-oriented counseling, and support for critical incidents/crisis response all of which include a Telehealth option.

U Matter, We Care - Sponsored by the Division of Student Life this program takes a multidimensional approach to wellness by addressing it in 9 categories: cultural, emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual.

Family Resources - Sponsored by the Institution of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) this program supports the challenges of day-to-day life by providing guidance through publications, videos, and in-person learning experiences. Topics include healthy living, personal finances, family relationships, nutrition, and much more. In-person learning takes place at Extension offices in counties statewide. UF Libraries Wellness Committee - A committee that promotes the health and wellness of employees through workplace programs and library users through outreach, information resources, and services for the benefit of the UF community. They seek to collaborate with other committees and teams aligned with the university and units on campus who are also making efforts to provide wellness initiatives and activities to those who seek them.

HSCL Wellness LibGuide - This Health Science Center Libraries LibGuide is your one-stop-shop for wellness initiatives available for students of all the Health Science Colleges. It features wellness activities offered daily, weekly, and every semester. Included is an events calendar to keep you updated on when the activities are happening. When you've been immersed in your studies and need to take a break to relax and reenergize the HSCL Libraries has what you need from coloring kits to puzzles to under-desk exercisers and the very popular MetroNap Energy Pods. For wellness activities outside the library check out the campus walking routes, Zoom guided meditation sessions, and resources to support your wellness at home.
