UF AI² Center provides centralized leadership of AI academic efforts

This group develops guidance for meeting the ethical challenges to design, implement, and regulate novel AI-based technologies.

A weekly one-minute broadcast featuring research developments in artificial intelligence at the University of Florida, as well as explanations of AI terminology.

The AI2 Center, CTE, and CITT host these awards to celebrate UF faculty members exemplifying innovation, leadership, and excellence in integrating artificial intelligence into their curriculum.

AIIRI aims to advance AI and informatics research at the University of Florida. AIIRI brings together preeminent researchers that explore many contemporary application areas from our institution. From science and medicine, or humanities to engineering, UF experts develop the tools and technologies to support and complement these studies.

Researching AI and Using AI in Research: A Framework -
By following these guidelines, UF researchers and students can ensure that their AI research is conducted in a responsible, transparent, and ethical manner, while advancing the frontiers of knowledge in their fields.

UF faculty from the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering and the College of Education have been at the helm of designing the framework for the Florida public schools’ AI coursework. This framework is modeled after the National Science Foundation’s national guidelines for teaching AI in elementary and secondary schools.

A UF AI course designation is a standard and required part of the UF course approval process. The AI Curriculum Committee (AICC) reviews course submissions. The AICC includes leading UF AI faculty representing all colleges at UF and AI² Center staff.
