HiPerGator is the University of Florida's supercomputer. The HiPerGator compute cluster includes high-performance processors, GPUs, low-latency networking, and high-performance storage, as well as nodes for memory-intensive computation. UFIT Research Computing procures and maintains the cluster and its many parts, allowing researchers to focus on their research instead of hardware and software maintenance.
Do you want to use HiPerGator for your course assignments or for a research project? Students have multiple paths to gain access to HiPerGator:
UFIT Research Computing provides free access to HiPerGator for any instructor(s) and student(s) of a credit-bearing course.
Researchers wishing to utilize HiPerGator must purchase an allocation for funded and unfunded research projects. In some cases, a Department/Center/Lab/etc... may pay for a group allocation that is shared amongst the members of that unit.
UFIT Research Computer offers live and recorded HiPerGator training sessions.
