When you see in your search results, click for access to digital
full-text material.
To find out if a journal is peer reviewed (also known as refereed), you can use the Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory. Search by journal title, ISSN, etc. and look for the tiny referee shirt as an indicator. More details....
If the library does not have a book or a subscription to a journal you need, you can submit a request to borrow the item from another library using the Interlibrary Loan (ILL). This service is provided at no cost to you.

site:.gov for government publications
site:.edu for publications from educational institutions
Use quotes for exact matches
Exclude terms by using - such as: jaguar speed -car
Follow leads from search results
In Google Scholar, click "Related articles" or "Cited by" to see closely related work, or search for author's name and see what else they have written. If UF has a subscription to the journal, click on Find it@UF or click on the title to open up the full text. If unsuccessful, try searching the library catalog.
