Overleaf Introduction

Overleaf is an online LaTeX and Rich Text collaborative writing and publishing tool that makes the process of academic writing, editing, and publishing quicker and uncomplicated. With Overleaf, you can:

  • collaborate with your peers in real time
  • link your account with your citation management product for seamless writing
  • write in LaTeX or rich text
  • choose from several types of project templates
  • easily identify LaTeX errors and get support
  • submit your papers directly to publishers in some cases

University of Florida faculty and students have access to free professional Overleaf accounts. If you already have an Overleaf account, you can easily link it using your University of Florida single sign-on.

Get started with Overleaf

Go to University of Florida on Overleaf to create an account or sign on and link your UF credentials to your existing Overleaf account

Once you are signed on, click on the Account tab in the upper right corner, followed by Account Settings, where you can link to your:

  • Citation Manager
  • ORCID profile
  • GitHub
  • Dropbox
  • and more!
