Finding Your Visual Voice: Marie Bourgeois at TEDxUND

An Exercise:

Have your students read D. W. Meinig's "The Beholding Eye: Ten Versions of the Same Scene" in The Interpretation of Ordinary Landscapes. Select a landscape and ask the students to create images that reflect two or three of the themes. Ask the students to discuss the elements they chose for each theme. How do they compare and contrast? What medium or materials did they chose to create the image and why?

A Second Exercise:

Make a Zine!
