Authors@UF Program and Project Management Guide: Authors@UF Bookshelf

This Guide is designed to provide project management steps for planning and implementing an "Authors@UF" event.

What is the Authors@UF Bookshelf?

This is a new collection of works written by UF Authors. The aim of the Bookshelf is to highlight the creative works of UF authors, introduce you to the authors and their works through a two-minute video, and help you to locate books of interest and access them through the Library.

What Can Library Liaisons Do to Build the Bookshelf?

Library Liaisons are invited to contact faculty authors in their subject specialties about posting information and links to their recently published works--and any other authored material, on the Authors@UF Bookshelf.  Library Liaisons can also invite authors to tape a two-minute video to introduce themselves and feature a specific work, or works.  This brief video might address something of particular interest about the research, why the author was compelled to pursue this path of inquiry, and/or what amazing insight was gained from the study.

Where is it Located?

The Authors@UF Bookshelf is located in the IR@UF (Institutional Repository) of the UF Digital Collections.  Because the Bookshelf is online, you can access it from any remote location at any time,  You can also click on any links in the entry to access more information about the work and its availability.
