LIBRARY SERVICES IN THE TIME OF COVID-19:
A Message from the Dean of University Libraries
Wednesday, March 18, 2020

The George A. Smathers Libraries recognize that we play an important role in support of the UF teaching, research and other activities and we will strive to maintain access to library resources, expertise and services during the response to COVID-19, while complying with the guidance of the University. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, and for the purpose of protecting the health of our users as well as our staff and faculty, the George A. Smathers Libraries spaces will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 19th, and will remain closed until further notice.

Read the Dean's full message.

The virtual library is 100% open and available, and library faculty and staff are here to help. We will still provide the majority of our services remotely, including instruction, research consultations, reference services, and digital interlibrary loan, as well as access to all of our digital collections, including journals, books and databases.

For more information please visit the George A. Smathers Libraries COVID-19 page.
