Bureau of Justice Statistics
A primary source for U.S. criminal justice statistics. Hundreds of reports are available in the areas of corrections, courts and sentencing, crime type, victims, and more.
National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) Abstracts
A clearinghouse of unpublished reports, books, conference papers, and more provided by the U.S. Department of Justice. Topics include research, policy, and practice related to criminal and juvenile justice, and drug control. Also a UF database (see the Find Articles page).
Uniform Crime Reports (Federal Bureau of Investigation)
An excellent source of crime statistics for the nation. The FBI publishes a series of reports based on UCR data. All can be accessed for free online: Crime in the United States, Hate Crime Statistics, and Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted.

Explore Census Data (formerly American Fact Finder)
The distribution center for U.S. Census Bureau data. Data from the Census, the American Community Survey, annual population estimates, and economic surveys are available.
European Sourcebook of Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics
Access crime and criminal justice statistics for about 40 European countries. The first three editions are available online. The 2003 and 2006 print editions are in Library West.
ICPSR: Inter-University Consortium for Political & Social Research
UF is a member institution and provides access to a data archive of more than 500,000 files of research in the social sciences.
National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD)
This subgroup of ICPSR makes criminal justice data available to the public for secondary analysis. Includes international data.
Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics
Brings together data from more than 200 sources about criminal justice in the United States, including public opinion, crime/victims, and arrests/seizures. Access archived issues from 1994-2002.
Statistical Abstract of the United States: The National Data Book
Summarizes statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Sources of data include the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Bureau of Economic Analysis. Also available in UF Libraries through databases and in print.
Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC)
This organization at Syracuse University gathers information about the staffing, spending, and enforcement activities of several federal agencies including ATF, IRS, DEA, and FBI.
