Note that these lists represent a broad cross-section of geographical and ethnic identities. If you do not see the specific group or identify you are searching for, go to the UF Library website, click on the FIND icon, select books, and type "folklore" plus your relevant search term. The results will be books held by the UF Libraries relevant to your interests.

• African Oral Narratives 

  A free, open-access digital library containing 6 collections of oral/life histories, folklore, and songs from Ethiopia, Ghana, and South Africa.
• Anthropological Index Online 

  The Anthropological Index Online (AIO) is published by the Royal Anthropological Institute (RAI) in cooperation with Anthropology Library and Research Centre at the British Museum. It holds some 4,000 periodical titles covering all areas of anthropology.
• Anthropological Literature 

  Produced by one of the world's foremost anthropology libraries, Anthropological Literature indexes entries at least two pages long in more than 900 journals and monographic series held in Harvard University's Tozzer Library. These include articles, commentaries, reports, and obituaries.
• Credo Reference 

  A collection of 100 reference tools that may be searched collectively or individually. This includes, but is not limited to: encyclopedias, dictionaries, statistical sources, biographical tools, image collections, and subject-specific titles.
• Database of Recorded American Music (DRAM) 

  The collection primarily focuses on the preservation and dissemination of rare yet culturally and academically relevant music. The featured music ranges from 19th and 20th-century classical genres to early rock, folk music to opera, Native American to jazz, historical musical theater to new music, electronic and beyond.
• eHRAF World Cultures 

  Contains ethnographic collections covering all aspects of cultural and social life.
• Encyclopedia Mythica 

  An internet encyclopedia on mythology, folklore, and religion.
• Ethnographic Thesaurus 

  A controlled vocabulary put together by the American Folklore Society and the American Folklife Society of the Library of Congress; serves as a guide to assist individuals in finding the most optimized search terms when doing research on folklore, ethnomusicology, ethnology, and related fields.
• Folklore and Mythology Electronic Texts 

  An extensive collection of tales, myths, and legends from around the world, classified according to Aarne-Thompson-Uther.
• HathiTrust Digital Library 

  Hosts a collection of millions of titles digitized around the world.
• Internet Sacred Text Online 

  The largest open-access archive of online books about religion, mythology, and folklore on the Internet.
• JSTOR 

  Includes archived journals that span many disciplines. It offers retrieval of high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues & pages as they were originally designed, printed, & illustrated.
• MLA International Bibliography 

  Offers a detailed bibliography of journal articles, books, and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), the electronic version of the bibliography dates back to the 1920s and contains over 1.8 million citations.
• Open Folklore 

  In partnership with the American Folklore Society and Indiana University, Open Folklore makes books, journals, and web archives available.
