As The Voice of the Nurse Practitioner®, AANP represents the interests of the approximately 205,000 NPs around the country, advocating for the active role of NPs as providers of high-quality, cost-effective, comprehensive, patient-centered health care.

The mission of the American College of Nurse-Midwives is to support midwives and advance the practice of midwifery in order to achieve optimal health for women through their lifespan, with expertise in well woman and gynecologic care, promoting optimal pregnancy, physiologic birth, postpartum care, and care of the newborn.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the premier organization representing the interests of the nation's 3.4 million registered nurses. ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting a safe and ethical work environment, bolstering the health and wellness of nurses, and advocating on health care issues that affect nurses and the public.

ANIA's mission is to advance the field of nursing informatics through communication, education, research and professional activities

FNPN's mission is to encourage networking between members throughout the state. Provide educational and professional development for nurse practitioners. Serve as a resource for nurse practitioners, their patients and other health care consumers. Promote excellence in practice, education, policy and research.

The Florida Nurses Association as a constituent of the American Nurses Association is the only nursing organization representing ALL of nursing regardless of specialty or practice area. We speak on behalf of nursing in Tallahassee as well as before many regulatory bodies.

FNSA is made up of all the nursing student association chapters throughout the state of Florida. As a member of NSNA, you are automatically a member of your state student association.

The mission of the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) is to promote and improve the health of individuals, families, and communities. The Institute supports and conducts clinical and basic research and research training on health and illness across the lifespan to build the scientific foundation for clinical practice, prevent disease and disability, manage and eliminate symptoms caused by illness, and improve palliative and end-of-life care.

Dedicated to excellence in nursing, the National League for Nursing is the premier organization for nurse faculty and leaders in nursing education. The NLN offers professional development, networking opportunities, testing services, nursing research grants, and public policy initiatives to its 40,000 individual and 1,200 institutional members.

With a membership of 60,000 nationwide, the National Student Nurses' Association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance.

The mission of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, is advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.

The mission of the Society is to Advance Nursing Research through dissemination and utilization of research findings, facilitating the career development of nurses and nursing students as researchers, promoting the image of nursing as a scientific discipline, and enhancing communication among members.
