Parking for the Burning Spear Event
Parking restrictions in most areas on campus lift after 4:30 pm on weekdays. Some areas lift at 3:30 pm, others 5:30 pm, and some are in effect 24/7. Each parking area will have a sign with the restriction hours listed. If it is outside of those hours, you can park in that area without a permit.
Smathers Library
The closest parking lot is east of Library West, off of University Ave. This lot contains a limited number of handicapped and standard parking spaces, and also serves as a passenger drop-off area.
UF offers paid parking on campus at the Visitor Welcome Center in the Reitz Union. The garage is about a 15-minute walk to the Smathers Building.
