The University of Florida Health Science Center (HSC) Libraries are active partners in the education, research, training and clinical needs of the HSC colleges, centers and institutes, the University of Florida and the state.
The UF HSC Library webpage can be found here: https://library.health.ufl.edu/.
The Library webpages' "Quick Links" should have many of the resources you may need to access at the Library.
Access to electronic information resources should be seamless from any computer on the UF Network.
UF students, residents, and faculty working with other hospital and clinics (e.g. VA Hospital) will need to use off-campus connections to access UF resources.
Eligibility for access: UF students/staff/faculty with current, valid UF ID/Gator1 Card
Remote access for all electronic resources: VPN software or EZProxy.
Some databases, journals and resources are free for anyone to access and some are only accessible to UF affiliates through the libraries' subscription. To access subscription resources while off campus, you must be logged in to the VPN or the proxy service.
If UF does not have the resource you need in either print or electronic form, request a free copy via Interlibrary Loan.
Articles and book chapters ordered through ILL are usually available within 3 days and will be delivered electronically.
Books and other physical items requested via ILL will be mailed to the library for pickup.
Liaisons are subject specialist librarians dedicated to specific academic units, including colleges, departments, centers/institutes, and academic programs.
Feel free to contact your Liaison Librarian with any information-related questions, or just to see what we can do for you and your research, teaching, clinical or administrative programs.
If you are on the Jacksonville campus, please visit our Borland Library liaisons.
For off-campus access to library-licensed e-Journals, research databases and e-resources, use either: UF VPN or the library proxy server (on the remote logon page).
When you see in your search results, click for access to digital full-text material.
To see links to full-text in PubMed, access it through the HSCL website and use the Abstract view.
Even if you don't see one of these buttons we may still have access to article. Double check the journal title in the UF Online Catalog.
