A Guide to Openly Accessible Resources

Zines

Elon University’s Guide to Zines/Queer History
This is an excellent round-up of LGBTQ+ zines, articles about LGBTQ+ zines, and related primary resources. It also includes a second collection of AIDS/HIV activism through zines.

Queer Zine Archive Project (QZAP)
QZAP was launched in 2003 to preserve queer zines and make them available to other queers, researchers, historians, punks, and anyone else who has an interest in DIY publishing and underground queer communities. This resource provides an online, searchable database of the collection with links allowing the users to view or download electronic copies of zines. The archive strives to make the historical canon of queer zines more accessible to diverse communities and reach a wider audience.
