We remove NOTIS and ALEPH numbers by removing values from both the number and the identifier type.
We also remove duplicated OCLC numbers, like "on1293474160" as we have another instance "1293474160". We not do include the numbers before the OCLC number.
We replace Print OCLC number with ER OCLC number. In that case, overwrite the OCLC number with the ER OCLC number and the Identifier Type stays the same.
Historically Publisher info has been put into two places in UFDC.
Place 1, as part of Creator, set the role as Publisher as shown at the screenshot below. This could also happen because the mapping of .dat file import route. However, this design does not go along with Facets, which means, if users want to find certain publishers created this way by using the Publisher facets appearing on the left side of browse all item pages, those publishers won't show up there. Instead, those publishers will show as Creator with the Role as "Publisher", which causes further confusion.
Place 2 Publisher Field
Underneath Creator, there is another field group called "Publication Details". Publisher names, Locations and Publication Date can all be entered there. This is the preferred location for Publisher info. By putting info here, Publisher names, Locations and Publication Date can all be listed together and users can use Facet function to sort and browser Publishers.
