Requesting Funding for Incentives

The Smathers Libraries are supportive of library events, surveys, focus groups, and other types of studies that increase student engagement efforts.  Incentives might be gift cards that are processed through Human Subject Payments as a part of a research or usability study or might be give-aways such as stickers, buttons, pins, and other swag as a way to increase student engagement. If you are considering student incentives to boost participation, please submit your request using this form.  You can direct questions to Laura Spears, Director of Assessment (laura.spears@ufl.edu).
 
There are limited funds available on a first-come, first serve basis. 

Keep in mind, UF requires all studies with incentives to follow Human Subject Payment guidelines (https://www.fa.ufl.edu/directive-categories/human-subject-payments/). The Smathers Business Office can assist you with the disbursement process and the Director of Assessment can also answer any questions.
