Welcome to the Smathers Libraries Statistics and Assessment Committee LibGuide. This Guide serves two related purposes.
First, it is the central hub for the collection, archiving and distribution of institutional and other statistics on the UF Libraries.
Second, it employs these statistics and other data to serve as the central hub for assessment programs and efforts at the Libraries.
Statistics collection falls into two general areas. First, the Smathers libraries belong to a number of outside organizations which require regular reporting of numerous measures on library operations. Second, other statistics are collected "in-house." Some of these are generated automatically, or in the regular course of library operations. Others, most commonly surveys, are collected on an ad-hoc basis, to meet specific needs.
