American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
• The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), founded in 1947, is the not-for-profit professional membership association representing the specialty of pediatric dentistry and is the recognized authority on children’s oral health. As advocates for children’s oral health, the AAPD promotes evidence-based policies, best practices, and clinical guidelines; educates and informs policymakers, parents and guardians, and other health care professionals; fosters research; and provides continuing professional education for pediatric dentists and general dentists who treat children
The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
• The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) was organized by the American Society of Dentistry for Children in 1940; Articles of Incorporation were signed in 1942. On January 1, 1964, sponsorship of the Board was transferred to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The ABPD office is located in Brentwood, TN.
Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
• The Florida Board of Pediatric Dentistry seeks to provide community, advocacy, and resources for the pediatric dentists in Florida so that we can provide optimal care for infants, children, adolescents, and persons with special health care needs.
