Evaluation

Person looking through a magnifying glass.

In addition to keeping content fresh, evaluation can help you determine whether the video is being used effectively, or at all. Create assessment items aligned with your learning objectives so you can determine whether your learners understand and can use the content you provide. You should also keep track of access statistics to understand if your outreach is successful. Here are some suggestions:

check icon Usability/Accessibility

check icon Consider conducting a usability test and/or formative evaluation to ensure that the video is easier to understand and that viewers are learning and enjoying the content.

check icon Use the data collected to revise the content before launching the video.

check icon Content aligning with learning objectives

check icon Attach survey, pre-posttest, or embedded feedback form to collect comprehension and/or satisfaction data.

check icon Use web analytics to track engagement
