Instructional Video Best Practices (ILC)

Instructional Goals

Instructional goals represent the broader goals of a project (e.g., help learners identify and access library resources). Clear goals will help you decide which topics should be covered (e.g., Interlibrary loan) and to what extent (e.g., a short intro, step-by-step demo). Identifying instructional goals will also help you create specific learning objectives. Without this focused approach, you may feel tempted to cover tangential topics and may lose track of the main purpose of the instructional video.
