Anthropology @ UF: COVID 2020

This guide contains course-specific information for a number of Anthropology classes @ UF

Transitiong to Online Classes for the 2020 Semester

Transiting to online courses midsemester is a challenging request, but there are a number of resources out there to help ease the burden. First and foremost, UF has created a page called Keep Teaching that has some great start up guides and recommendations for format (e.g. eLearning/Canvas vs. Zoom meetings). I hope this guide will help you to find the critical resources you need to successfully transform your course for the rest of the term. As always, if you find resource you would like added to this page, please email me (gjmahar@ufl.edu). Finally, keep up to date on UF's policies on COVID 19 here

The UF Libraries have adjusted hours and services during COVID. Please see our FAQ page for details and what to expect. As always, our virtual library remains 100% open!

Technical Assistance

  • CITT Instructional Design staff assist faculty & graduate instructors with creating new courses or adapting courses for online or blended delivery that are pedagogically sound, feature the appropriate use of new technologies, and maximize learning outcomes.

Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center for Teaching Excellence at UF provides a number of services for faculty and graduate student instructors, including: guides for teaching, consultations, course reviews, and teaching workshops. Additionally, their Resource Library provides information and assistance with various teaching needs including planning tools, syllabus preparation, course design and management, technology guides and assistance, affordable educational resources, and much more.
