The University of Florida owns hundreds of rare books pertaining to classical studies and houses them in climate-controlled shelving in Smathers Library. They can be accessed by request at the circulation desk of the Grand Reading Room on the second floor during library hours (see the Special and Area Studies Collections website for more information).
