In addition to e-journals, the University of Florida Libraries are providing access to a rapidly increasing number of e-books, many in Spanish or on topics related to Latin America and the Caribbean. In most cases these can be viewed on a computer screen, and require no special devices or software.
To locate e-books search the UF catalog, and e-versions of books will appear in the results list when available. Limiting a search to "online resources" can eliminates most print books in the results list.
While on campus or while connected to the UF Proxy Server, users can also search ebook provider's websites directly.

Digitalia provides access to over 6,000 Spanish-language ebooks. Subject lists are available at: http://www.digitaliapublishing.com
To access UF's holdings, search the catalog and, in the left column, limit results under Format to "Online Resource" and Corporate Author to "Digitalia Corp."
The firm is based in Spain, and users will find a great deal of content from that country, but the number of titles from and about Latin America is increasing. For example, it now includes nearly 500 titles from LOM Ediciones and RIL Editores in Santiago de Chile, 100 titles from the Editorial Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, and so on.

The University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries sends selected library materials to Internet Archive for scanning and online access from a variety of units and collections within the Libraries. These include but are not limited to U. S. Government Documents, UF print Dissertations, Duplicates from the storage collection and the Panama Canal Museum Collection.
The World Bank eLibrary contains thousands of browsable, searchable, and downloadable World Bank publications about Latin America and the Caribbean.
