This guide provides information on how to use the microfilm readers and finding microfilm content that are available at the UF Libraries.

Available Microfilm Readers

There are ScanPro microfilm readers available in three library branches on the UF campus. You can view the locations for our library branches on this UF Campus Map

There are microfilm readers available in the Grand Reading Room, in the Latin American & Caribbean Collection, and in Library West

The Grand Reading Room offers a workspace with a microfilm reader.

Please note: Viewing microfilm from Special & Area Studies Collection requires an appointment. For information on planning a visit, please visit this website and email the Grand Reading Room reference assistance team at special@uflib.ufl.edu

                                  

 

Readers in LACC

In the Latin American & Caribbean Collection (LACC)

LACC offers a workspace that features two microfilm readers. The reader visible in this photograph is accompanied by two monitors.

Readers in Library West

At Library West

Library West offers a workspace that features four microfilm readers, two of which are connected to large screens mounted on the walls.

Please note: The readers are located in Library West Room 339. This room is locked and requires a staff member to access, so please visit the Library West circulation desk (2nd floor) for assistance.
