Global Road Warrior is the world’s most extensive country-by-country resource for learning about culture, customs, history, and language worldwide. Global Road Warrior consists of 175 Country Guides of 119 topics each. For each country you can learn about the business culture, education, transportation, religion, money and banking, history, and so much more.
This database is more business oriented but it is a good source of information on the political life of a country. It provides a summary of a country's economical and political outlook, key economic indicators, expectations of forthcoming events, and more.
The World Factbook (US Central Intelligence) provides information on the history, people, government, economy, energy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities. Our Reference tab includes: maps of the major world regions, as well as Flags of the World, a Physical Map of the World, a Political Map of the World, a World Oceans map, and a Standard Time Zones of the World map.
