FGSO – First Generation Student Organization - The purpose of the First Generation Student Organization (FGSO) is to support and empower medical students who are the first in their families to graduate from college. We intend to create a community and safe space for First-Gen students to share their experiences and to help one another succeed in medical school.

Keys to Success in the Health Sciences - A year-long program at UF Health and UF Academic Health Center for freshman and sophomore students that seeks to foster a community of students and faculty to encourage growth, wellness, and academic success. This program is only available to those students who identify as First-Generation health professionals and come from an economically and/or educationally disadvantaged background among other eligibility requirements. Meetings are held bi-weekly and consist of career exploration, professional & graduate school preparation, and mentorship.
