It is important to have policies and procedures in place to mitigate damage. It is also important to respect the policies and procedures of the institution this item is being transported to if this item is being transported outside of our campus system. Tracking requirements, packaging requirements, damage remediation, etc. should all be considered and communicated clearly to ensure both items and people are undamaged in the sharing of collection material.
